Wireless Internet

How does wireless Internet work and how can you benefit?

Wireless Internet access also known as hotspot is a local area network which runs on radio waves instead of cabling or specific wires. A central hub is used for the broadcasting ensuring wireless Internet access for the users.

A server is used as the hub and this hub then transmits the connectivity to the client computers which fall within the radius of broadcasting. The clients require a local area network card that can support this type of connectivity.

The convenience offered by wireless Internet access makes it the ideal solution for the provision of connectivity at public places such as restaurants, hospitals, lodges, hotels, resorts, and cyber cafés. No Ethernet cables need to be installed making installation of this type of connectivity quick and cost-effective.

A specific range is setup within which clients will be able to make use of the connectivity provided by the hotspot. Offering a secure and fast connection to your clients is thus possible for attendees at a conference or seminar.

Timed tickets and bandwidth

If clients will only be staying for the duration of for instance, a workshop or conference, and need connectivity, they will not want to setup a contract with you as the service provider. They will want to pay for a specific bandwidth cap limit or time. We provide you with the tools to set tariffs for the timed tickets or the bandwidth caps, a front-end branded according to your requirements, and a statistics program to identify who is on the Internet and how much bandwidth has been used.
